Rounding Precision Options

Amortization schedule:
Round to....places after decimal point.
Changing this option effects how certain numbers are rounded when the amortization schedule is created. These changes occur internally and will not be obvious to the user. Generally, this option will not need to be changed from its default setting.

Basic Calculator +:
Round to....places after decimal point.
Changing this option effects how Basic Calculator + rounds the results of calculations. This also effects calculations performed internally.

All other calculators:
Round to....places after decimal point.
Changing this option effects all of the following built in calculators:
Debt-to-Income, housing expense, loan-to-value ratio, simple refinance recovery, simple interest, simple interest future and present value, compound interest, present and future value for ordinary annuities, annuity due present and future value, and perpetuity present value.
The result may be dramatically effected by the rounding option selected. This option was added to give the user more control and to give each calculator greater precision.

Round amortization figures to the nearest dollar.
When this option has been selected the figures used to calculate monthly payment, interest per month, principal per month, principal and new principal amounts, and total interest are rounded to the nearest dollar.
