Namaste Yoga Intro
Namaste Yoga combines stunning visuals with traditional Yoga. Most movements in Namaste Yoga appear to be based on
the vinyasa (breath-synchronized movement) and hatha styles of Yoga. These movements are performed by young dynamic Yogis with soothing modern music (composed by Tim McCauley) playing in the background. This combination of old and new has helped make Namaste Yoga one of the highest rated shows on the Fit TV television network.
Kate Potter, one of Canada's leading Yoga instructors, developed Namaste Yoga with a special emphasis on breathing.
This becomes apparent as you listen to Kate narrate each episode. Though challenging at first, with Kate's
guidance, the viewer soon becomes able to follow each sequence of poses in Namaste Yoga. Due to the pace
and variety of each sequence of poses, Namaste Yoga appeals to those new to Yoga and the more advanced alike.
Millions have become hooked on this unique approach to Yoga either through the television program or the multi-set DVDs.
Namaste Yoga features a wide variety of series and during each episode focuses on different sequences of poses. Here are a
few examples: The "Crane" series helps viewers learn various arm and leg balances.
The tension relieving series called "Head to Knee" helps the hips, calves, and hamstrings. The challenging "Dancing Shiva" series uses a sequence of poses to strengthen the muscles and joints. The "Extended Leg Balancing" series features poses which develop strength and flexibility. The "Heart Mind" series, for the more advanced, increases core strength as well as increasing flexibility in the extremities. Upper body strength and flexibility are the focus of the "Gate Opening" series.
The cast of Namaste Yoga appear in groups of three. Typically, Erin Borgfjord (Dirty Blonde Hair) , Koralee Nickarz, and Evangeline Duy (Pony Tail) appear together. While Lily Goncalves (Blonde), Marion Landry (Dark Hair), and Michelle Trantina (Brown Hair) appear as a trio. Wendy Deakins (light brown hair) has appeared with Lily Goncalves and Michelle Trantina.

Part III from the "Heart Mind" episode. Namaste Yoga can be seen weekdays 8:30 to 9:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST), again at 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm (EST), once again at 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm (EST) on the Fit TV television network in the United States.
On weekends it can be seen at 10:30 pm to 11:00 pm (EST) (be sure to check your local listings). In Canada, Namaste Yoga
can be seen on CHUM network (please see your local listing for the broadcast schedule). Full episode on
